Criminal madness in New Hyde Park.
On June 26, 2008, a group of teenagers went to New York's New Hyde Park, committing a wave of crimes there. First, three of them brutally attacked a man in the parking lot of a grocery store. Then the group, marching through the streets of New Hyde Park, came across a woman sitting in a car. Taking a pack of cigarettes from her, the teenagers began to destroy the car with one of the baseball bats they had taken with them.
The woman called the police, and the group was detained. When asked about the motive, the young people said that Grand Theft Auto IV pushed them to commit crimes.
9. Naton Brooks.
In 2013, 14-year-old Nathan Brooks was banned from playing games after he was punished after school. Then the young man decided to do something about it.
The following night, Brooks stole his parents' Smith & Wesson 22 revolver and shot them while they were sleeping. Fortunately, they both survived, and Nathan was sentenced to 15 years in prison for a cruel and heartless attack on his own parents.
8. The wave of youth crime in New South Wales.
Unlike the other examples on this list, this particular one doesn't talk about one specific crime. In 2012, the Australian state of New South Wales was faced with a sudden increase in crime committed by young people. The police were most concerned about crimes involving the use of cold weapons.
